Meet Dr. Joseph McCue
Dr. McCue graduated from Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2014. He completed Family Medicine Residency in Columbus, GA and Osteopathic NMM Residency in Bangor, ME. He believes you should have the primary responsibility for decisions about your care, and he is happy to help you make the best decisions for you and your family. Special areas of interest and training include ancestral health; evidence-based childbirth and childhood growth and development; ADHD and the challenge of neurovariance in contemporary environments; the neuropsychiatric roots of trauma and addiction; obesity and metabolic disease in a fractured food environment; medical ethics and healthcare policy.

Distinctly Osteopathic Direct Primary Care
A new approach to primary care that aims to bring doctors and patients back together. It works outside of the medical industrial insurance complex by providing affordable membership-based services that include increased access, direct communication, better care, and transparent pricing with no surprise bills. Osteopathic manipulation is included at the core of the best primary care.
Osteopathic Direct Specialty Care
For those who prefer to continue with their current primary care provider and would like osteopathic care with Dr. McCue, we offer a convenient membership-based option modeled on our Direct Primary Care service.
Fee-For-Service Osteopathic Consult
We offer osteopathic consult and treatment services to non-members on a fee for service basis. This treatment embodies the core philosophy and practice of traditional osteopathy in a contemporary, result-oriented, evidence-based fashion. Outside referral is accepted and is not required.
Additional Services & Treatments
As a patient at River Mill Osteopathic, you have access to cheaper labs, a convenient on-site pharmacy, and usual primary or urgent care procedures provided to you at cost. Dr. McCue also brings several community-oriented, state-of-the-art, and evidence-based treatment modalities to the Central Maine community.
Labs
Dr. McCue will personally draw your blood on site at no additional cost, priced as low as 1/10 hospital pricing. We do not believe the doctor recommending a test should profit from doing so.
Pharmacy
Our on-site pharmacy has most commonly prescribed meds at cost, often lower even thean insurance copays at most pharmacies and dispensed on site to save you the trip. We do not believe the prescribing doctor should profit from doing so be it pharmaceutical or supplemental.
